MSP for people arriving from Ukraine
The 3-month wait period for MSP coverage is waived for returning Canadians, permanent residents and people arriving in Canada through CUEAT.
Coverage for the Required CUAET Medical Test
If you are enrolled in the Medical Services Plan with a Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel document, the costs of the required medical test are now covered.
Effective October 1, 2022, individuals who are enrolled in MSP and who must complete the exam or diagnostic tests will not receive a bill.
If you already completed and paid for your medical test, you can submit the receipts along with a request for reimbursement. The form to request reimbursement is available at: : https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/download/3C6DE7CA7D834DCB97AE0D375E44AC4D
Under the Medicare Protection Act, enrolment with the MSP is mandatory for all eligible residents and their dependents.
