International Online Dating May Be Exactly What The Committed-To-Finding-Love-Dater Is Looking For

As a therapist, one of my favorite things to do is help my patients find everlasting love. I suppose I'm just a romantic at heart. When one of my newer patients informed me that he prefers to date non-American women, I was quickly intrigued. I asked him what it was about foreign women he found so appealing. He happily told me some of the characteristics he enjoyed. He liked their unique cultural perspective, their different way of being in the world, and personally found these relationships to be more rewarding and fulfilling for him.
Because of my work, I'm always interested in the latest and various dating sites available for singles. So, I was particularly interested, especially after my recent encounter with this patient, about two new sites I had previously been unfamiliar with: AsianDate.com and AnastasiaDate.com.
AsianDate and AnastasiaDate is part of a the Anastasia Family of sites founded in 1993, which offers international dating with the goal to facilitate romantic and exciting online relationships between men and women from all over the world.

In a recent study, funded by this online company, also found that 1.4 million unmarried American men ages 35-60 years old have participated in international online dating to expand their opportunities to find true love. And seven out of 10 men (72%) who have tried online dating, consider dating an international women a great way to experience and learn about a new culture.
Some of the other reasons men enjoy this type of international online dating experience, is because they see it as culturally exciting. According to Anita Covic, the online dating expert for AsianDate.com and AnastasiaDate.com, U.S men are willing to take a leap of faith and experience new and exciting experiences with singles from another country because 66% find it's a way to date a new and different type of women and 58% felt it was a good reason to travel or to travel more frequently.
But the most appealing finding about these two dating sites is that their online daters are very serious about relationships. According to a recent survey conducted by GFK Knowledge Panel, the top three reasons to use an international dating site is to: find Companionship (67%), find true love (60%) and to find a life partner (59%). Fewer of these international daters are looking for marriage. Only about 31% are. Nor are they looking to start a family; necessarily, only about 19% fall into this category. But they are more likely than online daters in general to want to focus on settling down.
Here's another upside according to the research, a lot of these online daters are quite satisfied with their online dating experience, vs. online daters in general.

Online dating is also great for men who are shy, have problems dating women, or who simply lead a really busy lifestyle.
Finding love continues to be a top priority for most people, and one of the main elements, in my experience, of experiencing life as rewarding, happy and fulfilled.
Online dating continues to be one of the top ways to screen potential dates and to find a partner with similar interests. Adding this international option into the mix, only widens the dating pool options.
As I tell all of my patients looking for a committed relationship, I'm for whatever works. On a professional note, I'm so excited that I have some more sites to recommend to those who are looking for love in all of the right places.
